Dr. Dimitrios Kouroupis obtained his MSc in Biosciences degree and his PhD degree in Regenerative Medicine from University of Leeds, United Kingdom. He is a principal investigator and faculty with a dual appointment at the Department of Orthopedics – UHealth Sports Medicine Institute and the Diabetes Research Institute & Cell Transplant Center, University of Miami, USA. Dr. Dimitrios Kouroupis is an expert in Mesenchymal Stem Cell biology and their potential clinical applications in regenerative medicine. Until now, the development of off-the-shelf novel stem cell therapies to treat musculoskeletal diseases and the generation of innovative stem cell-based therapeutic products are among his major priorities.
