David Gonda, M.D., is the director of Epilepsy Surgery at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego and an associate clinical professor of neurosurgery at UC San Diego School of Medicine.
He is fellowship trained at Texas Children's Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine, where he was a clinical instructor. Dr. Gonda completed his residency training at UC San Diego and earned his medical degree at The Ohio State University.
Dr. Gonda's clinical areas of expertise are epilepsy surgery, MRI laser thermal ablation surgery, responsive neuromodulation for epilepsy and pediatric movement disorders, pediatric spine abnormalities and craniovertebral junction abnormalities. His research area of expertise is minimally invasive epilepsy surgery. Dr. Gonda is a leader in robotic assisted neurosurgery with the ROSA.
