Dr. Melissa Murphy is a fellowship-trained, double-board-certified interventional pain specialist at North Texas Orthopedics in Dallas-Fort Worth, TX.
Dr. Murphy received a full scholarship to medical school at Texas Tech and completed an anesthesiology residency at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. She then completed a pain medicine fellowship at Northwestern Medicine in Chicago.
Dr. Murphy is known for her excellent patient care, with over 1000 5-star patient reviews, and is also a nationally recognized Key Opinion Leader (KOL) in neuromodulation. In addition, she travels across the country to speak about cutting-edge technology on spinal cord stimulation, and is a lead investigator on multiple national clinical trials.
Her main areas of focus are closed-loop spinal cord stimulation, painful diabetic neuropathy, cryoneurolysis, enhanced recovery pathway, practice management, and quality improvement.
She is the Vice Chair of NANS Women in Neuromodulation, ASPN Board of Directors, and Chair of Innovation and Growth of the United Muscular Skeletal Parnters National Physician Leadership Board.
She is the award recipient of the ASPN Young Innovator’s Award in 2024.
