Ecate LLC
Alessandro Maggi is the founder of Ecate LLC, where he is leading the development of the first intraspinal bidirectional closed-loop spinal cord machine interface. He earned his PhD in Medical Device Engineering with a minor in Aerospace from Caltech in 2018. Prior to founding Ecate LLC, Alessandro worked at Apple in the Panel Process and Optics Division, contributing to the pixel development for the Apple Vision Pro. His expertise encompasses micro and nano fabrication of MEMS, neural probes, flexible electronics, and CMOS post-processing, with a particular focus on nanopatterning to create 3D features that enhance device electrical performance.
