Victor Finomore, spearheads the Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute’s Innovation Center research efforts, fostering a collaborative environment where multidisciplinary teams of researchers, clinicians, and engineers push the boundaries of neuroscience innovation. Since 2018, the Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute has pioneered 12 first-in-human clinical trials, paving the way for groundbreaking treatments in neurological and cognitive disorders. This research have laid the groundwork for future discoveries and advancements, resulting in dozens of high-impact, peer-review articles.
Finomore brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles as an engineering research psychologist for the Air Force Research Laboratory, where he led and consulted on several projects that transitioned research and development technology to warfighters in command and control, special operations, cyber, as well as manned and unmanned systems. Immediately before coming to the WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute, Dr. Finomore served as Technical Advisor for the Warfighter Effectiveness Research Center, which he helped create at the United States Air Force Academy. There, he led a group of scientists and engineers in carrying out cutting-edge research, ranging from basic to applied, with a focus on understanding and optimizing human performance through transition of advance technology for various Air Force stakeholders. Finomore has authored over 150 published works.
