Scott F. Lempka, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, MI, USA) with a secondary appointment in the Department of Anesthesiology. Dr. Lempka is the Principal Investigator of the Neuromodulation Laboratory and the Director of Neuromodulation in the Chronic Pain and Fatigue Research Center. Dr. Lempka is also currently a Visiting Fellow in the Department of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford (Oxford, England). His research group utilizes engineering approaches, such as computational modeling, to study the mechanisms of action of clinical neuromodulation therapies for chronic pain management and other neurological disorders.
